Hello!

* CONGRATULATIONS FOR OUR GIG HARBOR SUCCESS!

Amanat... 1st in Oratory-- another NIETOC bid!  Do I sense another State Championship coming???

Worlds Big Ones (Jahaira, Dawn, and Amanat this weekend)... 2nd Place!  Next time, they are taking down Newport!

Matty... Finalist in Open Extemp for the second week!  You will get bids-- keep going, Matty! (also, 6th in Open Congress!!!)

Dawn... 3rd in Open HI!  (Getting close to those NIETOC bids... she will get it at AuburnRiverside!)

Alejandro (aka Alfredo Sauce)... HIS FIRST BREAK--quarterfinalist in Novice LD!  (One more time, then moving up to the big leagues!)

(One-in-a...)Milla....FIRST BREAK IN NOVICE IMPROMPTU! Finished 4th! Taking after Taite and going to be our next Impromptu STATE CHAMP!

Annika... Doesn't know this-- but 6th placed 6th in Novice Congress!!!!

Aubrey.... 1 small round from breaking for the second week-- we will take out Connor Prosise and Declan Hong next time!

Everyone was wonderful this weekend-- very proud of our team!

I was not feeling well on Saturday and all of the kids were very understanding and stepped up to take care of each other... they were true teammates.   

* Practice...

Tuesday- 2:30-5pm (GO TO GYM FIRST FOR TEAM YEARBOOK PICTURE!)

Wednesday- 2:30- 5pm (to make up for missing Monday)

* Returning members who dropped out of Gig Harbor past Tuesday, please make time to see me this week and re-sign your Code of Conduct for the season before entering any further tournaments.

* YEARBOOK PICTURE...

On Tuesday, before practice, go to the gym for the yearbook picture.  Last time, you all wore your team sweatshirts-- we have not done team sweatshirts yet.  So, do you all want to wear your suits???  Team Captain Amanat, please lead this discussion and let everyone know.

* BULLDOG BAZINGA...

Right now, our team is about 90% of Bulldog Bazinga.  If no other teams sign up by Wednesday, we will probably be cancelling.

Please know that this isn't normal-- many teams are reporting a slow start this year.   

IF WE CANCEL, we can have a work day at the high school from 9am until 2pm.  I will be there and we can work on speeches, debate, whatever you need.  This is completely optional.

*B'HAM ONLINE

Please make sure you are signed up appropriately on tabroom.com for this tournament.  This is an easy tournament to get points for State. We will compete from our school and hangout in the library in between rounds.  I know that doesn't sound like a lot of fun-- but it actually is.  Parents, if there is anyone that would be willing to help with lunch, dinner and snacks on these days, please let me know.  Amanat and Taite, please start helping kids sign up for spaces to compete.

* TEAM SWEATSHIRTS

We will soon be starting team sweatshirt sales.  So you can be ready, please know that the tees will be about $20 and the sweatshirts will be about $30.
